About this event
- Event lasts 2 hours 15 minutes
This is a meeting in our associated 104 Online Debate Club.
Anarchy is a political philosophy that rejects imposed authority and advocates for a society without government or hierarchical institutions. At its core, it values individual freedom, voluntary cooperation, and mutual aid.
Anarchists believe people can organise themselves through decentralised, non-hierarchical systems such as collectives or cooperatives. Rather than promoting disorder, anarchism seeks a form of social order based on equality, autonomy, and solidarity.
There are many schools of anarchism, including anarcho-communism, anarcho-syndicalism, and individualist anarchism, but all oppose systems they view as oppressive and envision a society built on free association and self-governance.
