Online event: An update on recovery in the civil, family courts & tribunals
Event Information
About this Event
HMCTS published its recovery plan for the civil, family courts and tribunals on 9 November 2020. The recovery plan is based on five key areas:
• Maximising the capacity of the judiciary
• Re-opening our courtroom capacity
• Ensuring remote hearings continue to be effectively supported
• Increasing our staff capacity to support delivery
• Continuing to reduce the time it takes to process cases
The event will be hosted by Ben Burke-Davies, CFT Project Recovery Lead, and speakers will include:
Adam Lennon, Deputy Service Owner, Family, HMCTS
Simon Vowles, Head of Civil, Family and Tribunals, HMCTS
Daniel Flury, Deputy Director, Tribunals, HMCTS.
In this webinar you’ll hear from the service owner of each jurisdiction on the challenges they face. From managing social distancing requirements in courts to enabling teams to work in new ways, we will show how we are building resilience to respond quickly to any further changes in restrictions.
This session is aimed at legal professionals, professional court users and members of the third sector with an interest in these jurisdictions and will last for 45-60 minutes.
You can submit questions during the event, or in advance by emailing changesomethingthatmatters@justice.gov.uk.
