HMCTS is making the court process in relation to family public law more efficient and accessible. We are ensuring that courts, parties and their representatives (where legally represented) have access to the right information at the right time, to support the court in its role to decide on the best outcomes for children involved in public law cases.

In this webinar we’ll show you how the service works, explain what you need to do to subscribe and discuss how it can help local authorities and legal professionals involved in care and supervision proceedings.

The webinar will be presented by Jason Llewlyn and Jay Atkins-Lane, Product Owners, Family Public Law and Adoption, HMCTS.

The service enables local authorities to complete and submit a digital C110a application for care and supervision orders with the supporting documents required by the Family Court to issue and progress cases online. Case bundles can be uploaded and presented in court during case management hearings and orders can be created within the service.

Legal professionals will be able to upload evidence, access orders and add evidence to the digital case prior to a hearing.

Benefits of the service, which is accessed through MyHMCTS include:

• A quicker and more efficient way to draft and submit applications.

• A single source of truth where all documents are accessible by parties that have permission to do so and at a time they need to.

• Local authorities can submit draft Case Management Orders on the service for the judge to review and approve.

• Legal professionals and parties will be notified of approved orders and can access them digitally.

This event is aimed at all Local Authorities, CAFCASS, and any legal professional involved in family proceedings who will be using the system and will last between 40-60 minutes.
