The experience

Come along and enjoy a drawing session with local artist Anna Niman of London Art Drawing with magical lighting and a live mostly nude model hosted live from our in-person venue, Blighty in Finsbury Park London. Explore new mediums, meet new friends and hone your skills during this creative experience .

This week, we prepare and present a very rare hybrid, Degas inspired session, with beautiful poised poses. This week we work with the famous and legendary mermaid-like Italian model, Tatiana, whose image adorns many an atelier across the UK. Come and draw the timeless natural poses, reminiscent of Degas she creates and see for yourself why she has been a very popular model for so long. Enjoy dramatic lighting set up for the evening and brilliant handpicked inspiring sounds to lift you by DJ SpAnna.A special set up for your inspiration. Highly recommended if you fancy working with beautiful organic movement lines, painted, drawing or monoprint art materials. Something for everyone.

Reference screenshots or recording, will be available for those wanting to finish off work or for those who cannot make the live session and will be made available following the session to those interested. Tickets for recorded reference material is in our ticket listings.

Anna believes art should be fun, open and accessible to all. Since 2013, she has organized weekly London Art Drawing sessions at different locations in North London and online.

All participants are welcome to arrive from 18:30 whilst we are setting up.

The session will take place in now in Blighty venue.

The artist

Anna Niman is a multidisciplinary artist from North London whose work traverses painting, photography, light-based installations and performance.

Anna studied fine art at Middlesex University and Byam Shaw School of Art. She has taught art, photography, and time-based media at schools and colleges. She taught dance at, and assisted the founder of, Hilde Holger’s School of Central European Expressionist Contemporary Dance. She was a member of the London Biennale, founded by David Medalla.

Her work has featured in venues such as Somerset House, the Royal Festival Hall, Oxo Bargehouse, the Bourges film festival in France, and Berlin.
