Do you ever have dilemmas with editors that you are not sure how to handle? Do you struggle with making sure you are paid properly for the work you end up doing? How do you set boundaries with editors about the amount of work they can expect from you, after you have filed to the brief, and how do you ask for more money, while maintaining a good relationship? How can you sell the same subject with a different angle to a different publication? Should you ever go back to an editor if they turn you down and try to change their mind? How do you negotiate better fees?
Multiple-award winning freelance journalist and Women in Journalism committee member Donna Ferguson will be joined by top freelance gurus Heidi Scrimgeour from Muse Flash and Lily Canter from Freelancing for Journalists to answer all your questions.
