Education Policy Institute (EPI) and XenZone invite you to preview the findings of a new research report:

Online mental health support for young people 
Preview Breakfast Briefing

You are invited to hear the exclusive findings from EPI’s research a day before the report is released to the public. The research will be presented by the report’s author, Emily Frith (former Director of Mental Health, EPI), and Aaron Sefi (Business Development Director, XenZone).

The report explores

  • How do online services impact on CAMHS waiting lists?
  • How do children and young people want to access support? 
  • How do online services look in terms of gender, age and ethnicity? 
  • What are the most commonly presented issues on Kooth?
  • How do commissioners view the integration of private sector companies in CAMHS?
  • What is the experience of local commissioners in Hertfordshire, Plymouth and Halton which have commissioned Kooth?


  • 9:00 – 9:30 Event opens. Coffee, tea and breakfast is available
  • 9:30 – 10:00 Presentation of research findings from Emily Frith and Aaron Sefi
  • 10:00 – 10:30 Q&A panel discussion with Emily Frith, Aaron Sefi and Julian Edbrook-Childs, Head of Digital Development & Evaluation, Senior Research Fellow at Anna Freud and UCL
  • 10:30 – 11:00 networking & coffee/tea
