This session will be delivered by Jo Hill, Volunteering Manager, and Nick Kidd, Peer Support Worker – Peer Volunteer Training Program, and is for staff and volunteers at West Sussex Mind only.


Session overview:

This workshop is open to anyone who currently supervises or works alongside Peer Volunteers or who would like to recruit and involve them in their services and projects.

We will be joined by current staff and peer volunteers who bring their lived experiences of peer support.

The session will cover:

- What is Peer Volunteering?

- How it brings capacity and diversity to our service

- What it looks like to be a Peer Volunteer with us

- Recruiting and supervising Peer Volunteers in your service

- Peer Volunteer Training & Employment Pathway

- How can I incorporate 1-1 Peer Volunteer support into my work?

- Shared examples of the power of peer support
