This bite-sized event showcases the launch of our new 'Mind Works' user guide; a step-by-step booklet to use with young people and families.
Join Cyrenians Scottish Centre for Conflict Resolution as it stages a launch event for a new booklet, a ‘User Guide’ to the psychoeducational resources the service has created over the past decade. These resources – Monkey Vs Lizard, Keep the Heid, Cranial Cocktail and The Three Brains – can be found on SCCR’s website under the ‘Mind Works’ tab and used for free.
Join us for an hour-long interactive session in which SCCR’s Emotional Health and Wellbeing Lead Sofia Desogus and Learning Facilitator Emily Hall walk the audience through the User Guide and demonstrate how one of the activities works practically.
Mind Works – A User Guide has been written to help teachers, youth workers, social workers, counsellors, health professionals, and mediators confidently use SCCR’s psychoeducational resources to deescalate conflict and support emotional regulation and wellbeing for young people and their parents and carers.
The User Guide describes each resource, discusses when to use it, suggests activities based on the resources, and how to deliver sessions safely and effectively in real-world settings, whether you’re in a school, a living room, or whichever professional setting you find yourself in need of conflict resolution tools.
