The Birmingham Early Years Network (BEYN) district network meetings aim to provide local practitioners with the opportunity to share information and access professional development.
This academic year, 2024-25, we are offering termly, cross-city, online webinar-style sessions featuring guest speakers who will explore a specific subject of interest in the Early Years.
Who are these sessions for?
All Birmingham based early years childminders, practitioners, teachers, managers and leaders.
Please note this is funded for Birmingham practitioners only. If you book but are not based in Birmingham we reserve the right to cancel your place. Sorry!

Summer Term Session: How to Love What We Do with Sally Cave
90 minutes of reflective dialogue led by Sally Cave and colleagues.
This session will explore how we can continue, or rediscover, how to love our work with young children despite the current challenges the sector faces.
About the speaker
Sally is the headteacher of Guildford Nursery School and Family Centre (GNSFC), a maintained nursery school on two sites. The family centre works with families in need across the borough of Guildford in Surrey.
Sally has a successful track record in the fields of school improvement and pedagogy, which has been recognised at a national level.
Sally committed herself to Froebelian principles and pedagogy when she did her Masters with Professor Tina Bruce as course director. Sally is successfully leading the development of Froebelian pedagogy at GNSFC. Froebelian principles guide her work with children, parents and staff.
