About this event

  • 2 hours

If you’ve never tried portrait drawing online before, this session is great place to start. You’ll be drawing from a model posing live over Zoom alongside sketchers of all abilities, from around the world. In this clothed portrait session our model will pose live on Zoom for three head-and-shoulder focused poses.

The clothed model will hold a 10-minute relaxed warm up pose where the model chats to our session leader, giving you the chance to get to know them a bit better. They will then hold a 45-minute-long pose, followed by a 10-minute tea break and a final 45-minute pose.

The session is untutored with a session leader on hand to offer help and we’ll have a different model posing virtually each week – if you’d like some pointers on getting started, take a look at this video HERE.

Our model this week is Clare who is currently artist-in-residence at the Mawddach Residency in North Wales and will be speaking about their working during the initial interview. The session will be led by Draw Head Tutor Jake Spicer - Jake is an experienced teacher and author with a passion for teaching people how to draw. His recent book ‘Figure Drawing’ is available for purchase HERE.
