You don’t need any prior experience of yoga to benefit from it - just come along! All stages of pregnancy are welcome from 12 - 42 weeks.

About this event

Senior Yoga teacher, Emma, welcomes you to her friendly online pregnancy yoga class! A safe, fun and nurturing environment for you and your baby.

Emma’s evening pregnancy yoga class is suitable from 12 weeks of pregnancy onward. The hour and a half class covers breathing exercises designed to prepare you for labour and birth, yoga poses to alleviate common pregnancy conditions and keep the body comfortable as it changes, pelvic floor exercises, and a half hour yoga nidra practice at the end of the class. Pregnancy Yoga classes are a supportive space where you can ask questions, bond with your baby, and gain deep rest. Absolutely no prior knowledge of yoga is needed.

Yoga is the ideal exercise for pregnant women, widely recommended by midwives and doctors for expectant mothers as a way of staying fit and mobile.

Our classes are small and provide a valuable, quiet space in which to form a bond with your unborn child, prepare for birth and meet other mums.

With Emma’s background in breathing you’ll learn breathing techniques that help throughout pregnancy, labour and birth. You’ll also experience the deep, relaxing power of yoga nidra (yoga sleep).

Organiser of Online Pregnancy Yoga Class With Yoga Nidra - Every Wednesday Evening

Emma Farrell (BSoc Sc (Hons), MA (Econ), MAR, Dip HypB) studied yoga with the International Sivananda Organisation and completed further training in pregnancy yoga and yoga nidra with the Sitaram Partnership and Yoga Campus. She gained her reflexology qualification at the Central London College of Reflexology and her Hypnobirthing qualification with The Hypnobirthing Association in London. She has also completed further training in hand reflexology and head massage at the Central London College of Reflexology.

Emma is also an Emergency First Response Primary (CPR) and Secondary (First Aid) Care Instructor Trainer, as well as a freediving instructor trainer. She is fully insured and a member of the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council, the national voluntary regulator for complementary healthcare practitioners in the UK.

With a background in yoga and freediving, Emma is passionate about unlocking the power of the breath to benefit all aspects of your pregnancy and life. The biggest reward for her is hearing feedback from her students and how both yoga and hypnobirthing and have helped them and their partners, and then seeing the beautiful babies at mother and baby yoga!
