This conference, scheduled in the build up to Safer Internet Day 2021, will help schools get to grips with the complexities of online safety

About this Event

This conference, scheduled in the lead up to Safer Internet Day 2021 (Tuesday 9 February), is for headteachers, SLT members, designated child protection teachers, computing subject leaders, school governors and members of the school leadership team. It will bring together a variety of external resources with expertise from within the London CLC team to help schools get to grips with the complexities of online safety, with reference to the safeguarding implications of remote learning solutions. The day will combine keynote talks with practical sessions covering all aspects of online safety from policies and procedures, curriculum development, blended learning and leadership responsibilities to staff development and infrastructure considerations.

Having attended this course, teachers will:

  • understand the key aspects of an effective school online safety strategy.
  • know about initiatives, resources and partner organisations that can provide support for pupils, parents and school staff.
  • have learned about policy requirements and best practice with input from school-based colleagues.
  • gained an understanding of how to support pupils to learn safely online learning in a remote context
