Practical ideas to help children and young people stay safer online

Who is it for? PHSE co-ordinators, Inclusion Managers, Pastoral Support Staff, Teaching Assistants, Heads of Year, SENCO’s, Family Key Workers, Parent Advisors, Behaviour and Attendance Officers and Youth Workers.

Why this is important? The online world evolves at a very fast pace. Children and young people are often the first to discover new technologies and, as professionals, it can feel like playing catch up.  This workshop will ensure that the latest Ofsted requirements and trends are covered. It will discuss practical ways to ensure children have a greater understanding of how to keep themselves safe when using the internet and social media. How to discuss online safety when things are going well and how pupils can be educators in the delivery in the online safety message in your school.  This will include online bullying and practical ways to deal with these issues when they arise.

We want to support YOU to provide the right support for children and young people

Workshop content:

  • Understanding Ofsted requirements
  • Wealth of very practical and instantly actionable strategies.
  • Managing your online reputation and maintaining professional standards
  • How can you celebrate Safer Internet Day 2018?
  • Create, Connect and Share Respect: A better internet starts with you

We do not ask you to pay a booking fee - the price you pay is the ticket price!

Payments: Our preferred method of payment is by credit/debit card via Eventbrite and we are offering a £5 discount for everyone who pays online when they book.

However, we can send you an invoice. Click on the 'Order Now' once you have entered the required number of places. You will then be taken to the Registration Information Page.
