About this event

Emotional intelligence for translators is a short online course tailor designed for translators, interpreters, and other language professionals to develop your emotional intelligence skills and maintain your psychological health. It is suitable for professional linguists at any stage of your career, whether you work freelance, in-house, or in the voluntary sector.

This CPD taster course is based on extensive research by the academics in the Open University. It introduces the concept of emotional intelligence (EI), raises awareness of different situations where EI can influence translators at work, provides a means to evaluate your EI, and enables the development of effective emotion management and coping skills.

The study time for this course is 2 hours. As it is an online course, you can study at your own pace within 4 weeks.
