[Online] Shumei Natural Agriculture learning course Part1, Part 2 and Part3
Overview
To everyone in the UK looking to deepen their understanding of Shumei Natural Agriculture, we introduce our 3-part intensive online course led by Tommy Uesaka or Kei Hayase. We offer a flexible system where you can freely choose and attend only the parts you need based on your own schedule. Please note that each session lasts approximately 1.5 hours.

【How to Register: Simple 3 Steps】
Booking and purchasing your class is easy through Eventbrite.
- Select Your Preferred date: On the Eventbrite page, you will see the tickets for Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3, each clearly marked with its corresponding date and time.
- Choose Your Sessions: Please select your preferred Part(s) and proceed with booking. You are welcome to register for multiple Parts on the same day.

【Overviews of the three parts】
This Basic course is Shumei Natural the Basic. This is aimed at farmers/growers and students who wish to try growing food naturally without applying any chemicals, fertilisers and animal manures. This autumn and winter sessions are lecture only. There will be no farm tour.
Part 1: What is Shumei Natural Agriculture?
On this basic course, you will look at the principle of Shumei Natural Acriculture such as importance of soil; role of composts; basic idea of seed savings.
By the end of this course you should be able to...

- Understand the role of soil and composts/catch crops
- Understand the importance of seed saving in Natural Agriculture
- Understand the attitudes towards pests and weeds
- Recognise how people’s thoughts would affect plants
Part 2: Concept of purification and problems
On this basic course, you will look at the concept of purification and our attitude towards problems such as diseases, pests and weeds.
By the end of this course you should be able to...
- Describe the key concepts of Shumei Natural Agriculture
- Understand the attitudes towards pests and weeds
- Understand the concept of purification
- Recognise how people’s thoughts would affect plants
Part 3: Seed saving and characteristic of NA vegetables
On this basic course, you will look at the importance of seed savings and characteristics of the vegetables grown by Natural Agriculture.
By the end of this course you should be able to...
- Describe the key concepts of Shumei Natural Agriculture
- Understand the relationship between seeds, soil and plants
- Recognise how saved seeds will adopt to its environment
- Understand the common characteristics of vegetables grown by Narural Agriculture method
