About this event

Spirituality • Christianity

Soul Days are for leaders in any field: church, education, health, business etc. They are a chance to 'Come away' and be still, away from the distractions of everyday life and those we lead. An opportunity to stop. Rest. Refocus.

To enable maximum inclusivity, this Soul Day will be facilitated via Zoom from the comfort of your own home. The Zoom link will be emailed to you before the event. You will meet online at 9.45am (bring a cuppa!) for welcome and introductions before saying Hopeweavers Morning Prayer together at 10.00am.

This will be followed by an extended time of silence (video on or off as you feel most comfortable) for you to connect with God in whatever way you find helpful. Some like to journal, others to respond to God creatively using art materials, others to be still in nature in a garden or to go for a walk.

At 12.00pm we will gather back together to say Midday Prayer and to have the opportunity to share anything that has struck us during the time of stillness if we feel prompted to.

At 12.30 you can either stay online with other participants to share your lunch time, or you can sign off and continue your silence on your own. The session finishes at 1pm prompt.

After you sign up you will receive an email with the details for the Zoom meeting and further information about how to prepare for an online retreat. We ask for a donation of between £5 and £10 per person to reflect the time and skill given by our leaders.

Safeguarding

Keeping each other and our vistitors safe is our top priority. For us, safeguarding is not simply a box to tick but an ongoing attitude of love and care, particularly for children and vulnerable adults associated with the Community of Hopeweavers. To this end we follow the Church of England Safeguarding guidelines. If you have any safeguarding matter to raise with the Community then please email safeguarding@hopeweavers.org.uk.
