Online workshop to understand the responsibilities and best practice associated with tackling modern slavery in UK businesses.

About this event

Designed for:

Those responsible for tackling modern slavery from policy to implementation including HR, CSR, technical and operational managers

Worker representatives, auditors and others with a responsibility in the area of modern slavery

All sectors and particularly food, garment and general merchandise manufacturing; agriculture and horticulture; and car washes.

How sessions run:

Online sessions: 4 1/2 -hour live interactive training split into two halves with a lunch break in between. This is an interactive training including the opportunity to ask our expert trainers questions.

Morning session: 09:30-11:30

Lunch: 11:30-13:00

Afternoon session: 13:00-15:30

Workshop Cost

For project sponsor own label suppliers/GNFR suppliers/service providers, ALP members, Charities, NGOs - £125 (+VAT) per delegate

Non project sponsor suppliers, non ALP member labour providers - £175 (+VAT) per delegate

There is one free delegate place per organisation* on open workshops for ALP members**, GLAA licence holders, charities, NGOs and project sponsor UK based suppliers of own label product or goods not for resale and service provider direct suppliers N.B. This is one place only per organisation, not per workshop or per site. Please call 01276 919090 to book a free delegate place.

All ticket bookings are non-refundable for cancellations less than seven days before the workshop.

Organiser of ONLINE Tackling Modern Slavery in UK Businesses - 3 NOV 2021

Stronger Together is a multi-stakeholder initiative aiming to reduce modern slavery, particularly hidden forced labour, labour trafficking and other third-party exploitation of workers.

Stronger Together provides guidance, resources, training and a network for employers, labour providers, workers and their representatives to work together to reduce hidden labour exploitation.

 

For the Consumer Goods Programme

Lead development partners for Stronger Together are the Association of Labour Providers, Gangmasters and Labour Abuse Authority and Migrant Help.
Project sponsors are Aldi, ASDA, Co-op Food, Lidl, Marks & Spencer, Morrisons, Ocado, Sainsbury’s, Selfridges, Tesco, Waitrose.

 

For the Construction Programme

Lead development partners are the Association of Labour Providers and the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB).Project sponsors are Multiplex, nmcn, Saint-Gobain, Sky, Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield, Willmott Dixon.
