Event description
Learn about Emery Walker, typographer, friend and colleague of William Morris, and his role in the private press movement

About this Event

Simon Loxley looks at Emery Walker’s contributions to the typographic identities of what were later called ‘the great triumvirate of English private presses’ – the Kelmscott Press, the Doves Press and the Ashendene Press – and beyond. How valid were his ideas, and what was the effect of his influence?

Simon Loxley is a graphic designer and writer on design, typography and design history.
