Amending Cases and Clients
One of the changes introduced with CCMS is the removal of most types of forms required for amendments, such as the APP8. This means that client and case information is updated differently in CCMS. Amendments are now submitted online through CCMS and are used to update client information, make changes to the agreed funding certificate and keep your client’s financial information up to date.
In this module you will learn how to update your client’s personal information such as address or telephone number. You will also learn how to request costs increases, prior authorities and other types of merits amendments. Finally we’ll look at how to submit a means reassessment.
The Legal Aid Agency (LAA) is introducing online ways of working for civil and family certificated legal aid work, involving the creation of a new system for providers and counsel.
This is the Client and Cost Management System (CCMS) and all new cases will be managed through this system
