Summary: A virtual training session for HR and OD practitioners, delivered by Sarah George, Partner, and Abby Spittle, Associate from DAC Beachcroft.
“Just and learning culture” is now a priority for NHS organisations across the country and key to its success is understanding how it can be implemented fairly, whilst ensuring legal requirements are met.
In this virtual training session, we will provide you with an overview of what a “just and learning culture” means in practice and the employment law principles that underpin its implementation.
The session will cover:
· The rationale behind a “just and learning culture”;
· The key principles that embody a “just and learning culture”;
· The employment law principles that should be observed to ensure fair implementation;
· The challenges you may face in implementing a “just and learning culture” and how to overcome them;
By the end of this webinar you will be able to/have:
· an overview of what a “just and learning culture” means in practice and the employment law principles that underpin its implementation;
· understand and evaluate risk areas;
· gained practical insight for dealing with tricky issues.

Sarah George, Partner, and Abby Spittle, Associate, DAC Beachcroft LLP
Sarah is an employment lawyer with over 20 years’ experience advising a diverse range of primarily health and social care sector clients. Sarah specialises in advising on strategic matters including: performance of medical staff and senior individuals, board level disputes and the implications of TUPE in the context of service reconfiguration, mergers and organisational change. Her contentious experience is as the lead adviser in high-profile and high-value employment claims, specialising in complex cases. Sarah advised and represents clients in defending complex and high value employment claims, including whistleblowing and discrimination complaints often involving sensitive or high profile situations, such as where there has been a breakdown in relationships, or involving proceedings in the Employment Appeal Tribunal and Court of Appeal, and injunction applications in the High Court.
