This is same session being offered on 3 separate dates.
Summary: Bystander at Work (3.5 hours/online) The participatory online course develops peoples' skills to create more equal and inclusive workplaces.
It develops the confidence to intervene and prevent and/or interrupt workplace bullying, microaggressions and harmful norms which systematically disadvantage some groups over others.
Importantly, this is not a racial justice or implicit bias training and builds on Cultural Competency training. It is delivered online by Kindling Interventions.
After completing the course participants will;
- Have increased knowledge of bystander and social norms theories
- Improved understanding and noticing of microaggressions in the workplace
- Be equipped with skills and tools to intervene as an effective bystander.
- Be better able to receive critical feedback ‘as a gift’
