Facilitator:

Lee-Anne Crossman, Legal Director, Health Employment Law

Lee-Anne advises both public and commercial sector clients on all aspects of employment law both contentious and non-contentious. Her specialism is advising the NHS as well as other bodies in the healthcare sector. She has extensive experience in advising and representing clients in discrimination cases of all types, whistleblowing, TUPE, disciplinary and grievance processes, performance and absence management, termination of employment, restructuring and redundancy processes, drafting contracts (including executive contracts), staff handbooks and settlement agreements.

Lee-Anne regularly deals with complex and highly sensitive internal processes for healthcare sector clients such as removal of senior executives. She also provides advice and support in relation to, often contentious, issues involving medical staff and/or doctors in training, with potential regulatory implications.

Lee-Anne conducts her own advocacy for all case management and preliminary hearings as well as full hearings on occasion. She delivers training, workshops and legal advice surgeries for clients and until recently, had a monthly slot on local BBC radio addressing any employment related issues. She provides pragmatic advice with a view to resolving, and/or minimising, employment issues in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Lee-Anne understands healthcare and NHS clients’ needs, taking an empathetic and professional approach to their goals whilst setting realistic and achievable targets.
