It’s commonly reported that 50% of people want to change career, but only about 10% actually do over a decade.

I believe that many people are unclear on whether they really want to change career or not, and lack full commitment to the transition.

Reasons for changing career could be misalignment with values, purpose, skills, passions and interests.

Reasons for staying within your career could be challenges related to dysfunctional work behaviours and relationships, limiting beliefs and low confidence. These could just follow you to a new job or career unless resolved.

Without this clarity, you're unlikely to have the energy and commitment to make such a big shift as a career change. This can leave you feeling stuck and powerless.
