Online Workshop: Positive Action

This session is for those in People Profession roles

Aim:

This session will aim to expand attendees’ knowledge and skill to attract, retain and support diverse and inclusive workplaces. The training will explore how employers can implement positive actions to create equal opportunities within recruitment and within its workforce.

Objectives:

• Understand what equality, diversity and inclusion are, and their importance.

• Explore how to attract a diverse workforce and examples of how other organisations have implemented positive actions in practice

• Learn more about the impact of diversity and inclusion have on recruitment and the how to foster an effective workplace.

• Navigate positive actions and positive discrimination, while understanding the fine line between them drawn from underpinning legal cases

Outcomes:

By the end of the session, attendees will have

• Enhanced awareness of diversity and inclusion, and its impact on recruitment and retention

• A clear understanding of positive actions and positive discrimination within the workplace and how to implement strategies to support employees
