The session will include:

· How knowledge impacts on the duty to make reasonable adjustments
· Common adjustments and how to decide if they are reasonable
The session would be useful for all NHS HR professionals
By the end of this webinar you will have:
an overview of what you need to take into account in determining what adjustments that may be required by disabled staff and when, as well as a working knowledge of how to approach requests for common adjustments sought by staff.

Facilitator: Saira Ramadan, Partner, Hempsons
Having first qualified as a barrister in 2006, and then cross qualified as a solicitor in 2009, Saira is an expert in employment law with extensive experience of employment tribunal litigation. She routinely represents clients in complex, high profile, and high value claims, including those concerning senior executives. Saira has particular expertise in equal pay and led on one of the leading test cases in the national NHS equal pay litigation.
As a trained advocate, Saira also has considerable experience of representing clients in the Employment Tribunals, ranging from straight-forward wages and unfair dismissal claims to multi-day and multi-jurisdiction claims for discrimination and whistleblowing. She has also appeared in the Employment Appeal Tribunal.
Saira advises on the full range of employee relations issues including misconduct (and, in particular, doctors’ disciplinary cases under MHPS); sickness; performance; redundancy; pregnancy and maternity; working time; and holiday pay. Saira also specialises in information law matters in the workplace.
