Event description
An online workshop developing improvisation skills using movement and voice. For all levels.

About this Event

Red Hat Opera's devising workshop takes place online via Zoom and includes movement, writing, voice work and improvisation. During this challenging time, we continue to develop performance skills and work together to create new work and a sense of community even when we can't be together physically.

You will receive the link to the Zoom session on the morning before the workshop.

The workshop is open to all levels and background. You can join from wherever you are in the world, but bear in mind that a good understanding of English is required.

Please wear comfortable clothes for movement exercises and prepare paper, pen and colours for the writing and devising tasks.

The workshops are free but please donate if you can to help us cover costs of the workshop series activities. (suggest donation £5 or £10)

Performer and sound artist Guy Harries has created several operas and musical productions with current socio-political themes. He will lead this workshop which focuses on devising performance with sound and voice, with inspiration from current affairs and activist DIY approaches. www.guyharries.com
