Online Workshop: Skills for Influence

This session is for Emerging Workforce Leaders Bands 3 - 6

Summary: There are many skills that will serve you well in life, and influencing is up there in the top three.  We see the effect of influencing on social media, and how it can inform our purchasing decisions.  But what about influencing in the work-place?  

Having well-honed influencing skills in the workplace are a fundamental skillset for your career.  It means you have better communication skills and are more likely to get what you need done, which includes

• Buy in to ideas
• Bringing people along during periods of change
• Shaping how others behave  

Using coaching and NLP approaches, brought to life with real scenarios, I will give you an overview of some of what I’ve learnt and cover some of the fundamentals that will form the basis of this continual process

Aim: By the end of this workshop you will be able to:

• Gain an understanding of what influencing is (and isn’t) 
• Gain an understanding of different influencing styles
• Identify your natural influencing style and learn how to maximise this
• Learn some basic tips which will truly help you raise your influencing game

With over twenty years' experience as a Senior Leader in the NHS, and over ten years' experience as a Coach, she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to help organisations overcome the challenge of developing and retaining excellent staff to achieve a happier and more motivated workforce.
