Join artist Sarah Grace Dye for two workshops this May. Part of a group of workshops collectively titled Still Life, they will use the ordinary domestic objects and materials that surround us in our homes as a widely accessible source of inspiration.
Sarah will lead a basic concertina book workshop on 19 May in which you will use packaging and ephemera about your home. She will then lead a second more advanced workshop the following week on 26 May. You can attend both, or either one can be taken on its own.
In her own practice, Sarah emphasises reusing household materials, working with the everyday leftovers and highlighting what we throw away. Her workshops will be limited to just eight places in each, and you will complete at least one book during the workshop and she hopes to inspire you to make more on your own afterwards. Information about what you need and what to collect in preparation for the workshops will be shared two weeks in advance.
