About this Event

As part of the BBC Novels That Shaped Our World project, Derbyshire Libraries are pleased to present this online working workshop via Zoom with local Young Adult author Emma Pass.

Do you want to write, but you're not sure where to start? Do you struggle to come up with ideas? In this 2-hour Zoom workshop, award winning YA author Emma Pass will lead you through a series of short, fun writing exercises aimed at sparking inspiration and creativity. There will also be the opportunity to share your work (although you don't have to!) and ask Emma any questions you might have about your writing. This workshop is suitable for writers of all abilities aged 16-25.

Emma is the author of two novels, ACID and The Fearless (Random House). In 2020 she was commissioned by Arts Derbyshire to create the poetry film Burn Bright for the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site Discovery Days Festival. She is a creative writing teacher, mentor and editor, and minion to a retired racing greyhound.

This workshop is aimed at young adults16-25 years.

You will be emailed a Zoom link to the workshop nearer the time.
