You are invited to take part in Wales’ first DataDive on Saturday, 20th and Sunday, 21st May, at the Office for National Statistics (ONS), Newport! ONS and DataKind UK would be thrilled to have you spend the day with us, donating your time, skills, and energy to help two fantastic data for good projects.
DataKind UK is a charity that solves tough social challenges through data science. They help social sector organisations benefit from advances in data science so they can make better decisions and have greater social impact.
The ONS are the UK’s largest independent producer of official statistics and the recognised national statistical institute of the UK.
How to take part.
Please seek line manager approval to attend the event. You will be able to claim flexi hours, but this needs to be approved. This will count towards your CPD, charitable hours, and learning. You do not have to be part of the GSS to take part. If you cannot attend, please ensure you cancel your space for someone else.
Please pick your data science skills level based on the ticket types. If you are unsure, please simply register as ‘Data Enthusiast’ to show your interest. The event will need volunteers to ensure it runs smoothly, and you will be able to sit in to learn how data science can be used for good to create something amazing!
Tickets are limited, so it is first come, first served. Please feel free to fill up the waiting list to show your interest, as spaces may be available later.
