About this event

  • Event lasts 45 minutes

ONS Local has been established by the Office for National Statistics (ONS) to support evidence-based decision-making at the local level. We aim to host insightful events that connect our users with exciting developments happening in subnational statistics and analysis at the ONS and across other organisations.

Join What Works Growth to explore how data can help policymakers better understand their local economy and where best to intervene.

Good economic policy is evidence based. However, it can be difficult to identify insights within the available data to better understand the local economy.

What Works Growth is developing a series of resources to help local and combined authorities identify key issues faced by their local economy through analysis of available data. The resources will also help contextualise this data by providing a broader understanding of what drives economic growth.

This event is open to all; we anticipate it will be of most interest to anyone working on local economic growth policies in central and local government.
