Come and join the family of OPAL schools at this regional network meeting. Wherever you are on your OPAL journey, this session will provide inspiration and ideas, as well as the chance to network with like-minded schools and see a platinum OPAL playtime in action!

10:15am–10:30am Arrival
On arrival, please register with your DBS/ID and help yourself to a coffee.
10:30am–10:40am OPAL mentor talk
Hear from OPAL mentor Rachel Murray.
10:40am–11am St Nicholas Primary's journey
Hear from the staff at St Nicholas Primary School on their journey with the OPAL Primary Programme.
11am–11:45am Discussion
There will be a round table discussion and a networking opportunity.
11:45am–12pm Lunch
This will be an opportunity for a quick lunch break. We will also be joined by schools interested in starting the programme.
12pm–1pm Observation of playtime
Come and see a platinum OPAL playtime in action – ask the children about how they manage risk and the grown-ups about the changes they have seen.
About St Nicholas Primay School
St Nicholas Primary School is a co-educational Church of England voluntary controlled school in Alcester, with 420 children on roll. Rooted in a strong Christian ethos, the school promotes friendship and consideration for others, fostering a friendly and caring culture where everyone is valued and accepted. St Nicholas achieved their OPAL Platinum Award in March 2025. Their wrap-around site includes tarmac areas, a large field, and woodland.

There will be refreshments, but please bring a packed lunch and arrive in time to find a parking spot on the main and adjacent roads.
