This year's Older People’s Diabetes Network (OPDN) Patients’ Forum takes place on Tuesday, October 11.
Designed to allow patients to directly liase with real diabetes experts and ask about their various-health related issues, the Forum is a new group that allows those with concerns to seek answers to any questions they have.
Chaired by Professor Alan Sinclair, the Forum will hear from an array of international speakers.
The main topics to be discussed will feature around diabetes and dementia and the 2017 National Diabetes Care Home Audit, while the Diabetes Commissioning Framework for Older People will be revisited.
Attendees can get involved with the OPDN Patients' Forum lunchtime debate and share their opinions on the world of diabetes.
Ultimately, the aim of the Forum is to improve the quality of care that older patients with diabetes receive and perhaps highlight areas where improvement is needed.
