Open Access and Copyright
Thursday, 22 November 2012 from 14:00 to 15:30 (GMT)
Southampton, United Kingdom
In this workshop we will discuss how to develop open access course materials and consider issues of intellectual property and creative commons licensing.
It is an introductory, fact finding workshop to raise awareness of who is doing what around the university in this area, what related events might be going on both internally and externally, and explore recent government / publisher initiatives.
We would also like to establish if there is enough interest to put in place something more specific in this area next year (more workshops, bigger event?)
We are NOT setting or reflecting university policy in this area, or advocating any particular solutions.
When & Where
CITE (Centre for Innovation in Technologies and Education) & The British Council
The Centre for Innovation in Technologies and Education (CITE) provides the university with strategic leadership and support for the use of technology enhanced learning (TEL). It aims to connect and foster cross-institutional initiatives and best practice, enabling faculties to engage with a central resource for new ideas as well as institutional, national and international drivers.
