Description

Open access: How do we maintain quality in key professions?
8am, 26 September 2017
Hotel du Vin, 2 Ship Street, Brighton, BN1 1AD

With professions having to respond to new business models, markets and technologies, the pressure to maintain high standards continues. This event in association with the SRA, who are developing a new Solicitors Qualifying Exam, will focus on how we ensure those coming into the legal and other professions, including through new routes such as apprenticeships, are supported and that our world-renowned standards do not slip.

This event is in partnership with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA).

Speakers:

Nick Thomas Symonds MP Shadow solicitor general
Seema Malhotra MP Britain exiting the European Union select committee
Peter John Leader, London Borough of Southwark
Crispin Passmore Executive director, Solicitors Regulation Authority
Chair: Kate O'Rourke Chair, Labour Lawyers
