Event Details

The LOCH Project is running a half-day workshop looking at planning for the implementation of HEFCE's Open Access requirements in the next REF.  This has been scheduled to run on the day after the University of Edinburgh's Repository Fringe event, but is open to anyone and free to attend.

The event will involve case studies from different Universities and will provide a forum for practitioners to think about what they need to do to prepare for the implementation of the policy, with a focus on:

* Workflows

* Systems

* Staffing/Resources

* Communications

* Audit and compliance

By the end of the session, delegates should have a good idea of the things they will need to focus on to develop a workable plan to deal with Open Access in the next REF.

The session will end with a lunch, and staff ffrom the LOCH Project will be on hand to answer questions and provide further and consultancy after lunch (by appointment).

LOCH (Lessons in Open access Compliance in Higher education) is a Jisc-funded Open Access Good Practice Pathefinder Project led by the University of Edinburgh, in partnership with Heriot-Watt and St Andrews Universities.
