Event description

Description

Making research open access is increasingly a requirement of research funders and is also a key component for eligibility for the REF. But there are also key benefits for academics themselves, particularly in promoting and increasing the visibility and impact of their research.

Taking place during Open Access Week, this event seeks to explore some of the issues around Open Access and the current research landscape, and discover and explore how academics themselves stand to benefit.

Hosted by Professor Stephen Maddison, the event features talks by Professor Martin Eve, a key advocate for Open Access, and Dr. Lisa Mooney, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Research and Knowledge Exchange) at UEL.

The event will also feature talks including publishing Open Access journal at UEL and ways in which Library and Learning Services can provide support and guidance in terms of Open Access.

Lunch will be provided at the close of the event.

Schedule to be confirmed.
