Join us for our open-air open mic & mob karaoke picnic on Hampstead Heath every other Saturday this summer!
Bring your poetry, music, comedy, instruments or songs to perform — plus any food, drink, or snacks to share. Lawn chairs, camping stools, blankets, or musical instruments are also welcome and will help make the day even better. Perform solo, with others or join in for a mob karaoke singalong.
No pressure — just people making something together.
Mob karaoke is a Temple of Ideas favorite — part singalong, part improv, part collective release. Jump in and follow the lyrics on screen, harmonise, free-style, or take the lead solo if the spirit moves you. It’s loose, unpolished, and wide open — the kind of beautiful mess that makes magic.Pack food, snacks, drinks, or something to share with the group — and bring anything that adds to your comfort: a lawn chair, camping stool, blanket, or instrument.
The location is under the sports shelter in the Old Sports Ground, just north of the mixed bathing pond.The easiest way to get there is straight down Lime Avenue and take a sharp right just meters before the drinking water fountain.Rain won’t stop us — the shelter becomes our pop-up stage. If it’s already occupied, check nearby to the left or right — we won’t be far.

Outside Hampstead TUBE (not rail) Station between 1:00–1:30 pm to walk over together.Or make your own way there anytime from 2:00 pm onwards.

We gather under the graffiti-covered sports shelter in the Old Sporting Field, just north of the mixed bathing pond. Rain won’t stop us — the covered shelter becomes our pop-up stage. If another group happens to be using it, you’ll find us nearby, around the fallen tree to the right of the stage.
Meet us outside Hampstead Tube Station between 1:00–1:30 pm, and we’ll walk over together. Or arrive on your own anytime from 2:00 pm onwards — just follow the attached map or use the What3Words app with the secret code: mock.cooks.begin.
