Event description

Description

The Egham Museum invites you to discover the lives of ordinary Egham residents at an extraordinary time, over 100 years ago. Join us for an original piece written by local playwright Elinor Boult exploring the impact of the suffrage movement in our local community. Individual voices create a picture of the power of protest, showing how explosive words as well as deeds can be. The stories explored in the performance are inspired by Egham Museum's research through the 'Suffrage in Egham’ project, funded using public money from Arts Council England.

Please note that although this event is free, Claremont is a pay to enter site and normal fees apply. More information can be found at https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/claremont-landscape-garden
