This is a networking and community event for existing and aspiring tech startup entrepreneurs. Aimed at entrepreneurs, innovators, techies, scientists, coders and students who are serious about turning great tech ideas into money via startups, spin-offs and joint ventures.
Action Learning is a structured problem solving technique using the knowledge and skills of a small group of people.
Each participant will get a chance to share a business problem they are facing and then answer 'open' questions posed by their group to help tease out creative and reflective solutions to their problems.
Action Learning is a great way of getting other people's perspectives in a non-interrogative or confrontational format. Participants often find it gives a helpful nudge and reveals solutions that have been staring them in the face for ages!
Please bring real-world problems that your business is facing to the session. We will ask everyone to treat each others' comments in confidence.
As ever, there will be an opportunity to network freely with other attendees after the presentation.
Time and Place: Co-Working Space, DMU Innovation Centre, 10am-Midday, Weds 11th March
NB: Suppliers of directly relevant business services who are willing to help build the community rather than hard-sell are welcome to attend.
