About the 3D Design Portfolio
The immersive one-year 3D Design Portfolio course aims to help you build an understanding of the processes of 3D design within real world scenarios. You will learn about ceramics, jewellery and product design through experiential research, idea development, experimentation and practical application of materials and methods. You will develop your skills through projects in all three areas in order to build a comprehensive portfolio of work for progression onto a BA or MA.
During the course you will develop your own unique approach to designing objects through project briefs that support you to explore 3D Design through experiential research, iterative idea development, experimentation and practical application of materials and methods.
Discover your personal specialist area of interest within 3D Design by exploring the fields of Product Design, Ceramic Design and Jewellery Design and their potential within a wide range of art and design disciplines.
Between 2011 and 2015, 85% of Portfolio Preparation students who applied to a course at UAL were offered a place.
