Join the Field Archaeology Department of the Société Jersiaise for a special Open Day at our current excavation in St Lawrence on Tuesday 19 August, from 2.00pm to 4.30pm. Guided tours will run throughout the afternoon, lasting around 45 minutes each. Visitors will have the chance to:

  • Explore the excavation site of a small Iron Age farmstead, over 2,000 years old
  • See some of the finds uncovered since the dig began
  • Learn more about Jersey’s ancient history and heritage
  • Ask questions to the archaeologists and volunteers working on site

Parking: Please use the St Lawrence Sport and Community Centre (just south of the site) or, where possible, parking near the Parish Hall.

Location: The site is at the crossroad to Rue des Corvees and Mont de la Chenaie, just north from St Lawrence Community Centre.
