Frequently asked questions

Where and when do we meet?

Meet your guide at the North Lodge Information Centre which is at the Old Brompton Road north end of the Cemetery. Please meet your guide 15 minutes before the stroll start.

How long is the scent stroll?

The stroll lasts about 60 minutes, though it does depend on the group. Questions are welcome!

Do I have to reserve a place, or can I just turn up?

Reserving a place online guarantees you a place, since this is a small group tour. It is also fine to just turn up on the day and pay the guide cash directly, as long as there are places available.

How accessible is the tour?

All the paths are paved or firm, and level, so the walking is easy.

Is there parking?

No, there is no parking at the Cemetery. Please consult Parkopedia. Blue Badge holders may request short-term parking by writing to events@brompton-cemetery.org.uk as described above.

Are there cafe and toilet facilities?

Yes, there is a cafe opposite the North Lodge Information Centre where we meet, which sells drinks and light snacks, and has toilet facilities for the public to use.

Who are the Friends of Brompton Cemetery?

The Friends of Brompton Cemetery work to preserve and promote the Cemetery as an historic site with a modern role. We help to maintain the cemetery's buildings, monuments & landscape, & encourage its use by the community. We offer guided tours, an Information Centre and other events.
