Open Evening for UK nationals in Hamburg
About this event
In cooperation with Nicholas Teller, British Honorary Consul in Hamburg, and Rev Canon Dr Leslie Nathaniel from the Anglican Church of St Thomas Becket, the British Embassy Berlin will host aInformation Evening on Tuesday 15th October 2019. This will be an opportunity for you to find out how you can get ready for Brexit.
The evening will start with short welcome speeches held by Rev Canon Dr Leslie Nathaniel and the British Honorary Consul Nicholas Teller. Afterwards there will be brief updates by
- Rachel King, EU & Economic Cousellor, British Embassy
- Ellie Sellwood, British in Germany
- Christiane Lex-Asuagbor, Legal and Civic Affairs, City of Hamburg
followed by a Q&A.
After this, there will be an Info Fair, where you will be able to speak to representatives from key German authorities on pensions, health insurance, residency, employment and benefits, studying in Germany, recognition of professional qualifications and naturalisation (participating organisations to be confirmed).

This event is primarily aimed at British citizens living in Hamburg.
- Only registered guests can be permitted entry to the Anglican Church.
- Due to the limited size of the venue, tickets will be issued on a first come first served basis.
- If you reserve a ticket but find yourself unable to attend, please let us know so that we can allocate the ticket to someone else.
