Description

SUN 30 Jun – SUN 7 JULY 2018, A FESTIVAL OF ART

Come and join us for the sixth year of Open for Art, a week long festival showcasing Reading's arts, heritage, culture and creative industries. Launching with ArtLine on Sunday 30 June, this year's Festival of Art includes a programme of walks, talks, workshops, performances, exhibitions and residencies to give you a taste of the artists, makers, writers, designers and curators in Reading.

Everyday we see the positive impact that art has on people's lives and to celebrate this, our theme for Open for Art 2019 is 'The arts and wellbeing'.

#OpenForArt #thejellyreading

The team of Arts Ambassadors can be found throughout the weekend, identifiable with their t-shirts and lollipops with maps and information ready to share.

The Open for Art Festival is curated by Jelly and made possible by working in partnership with a wide range of groups, individuals, schools, students and businesses.

Sponsored by The Oracle, Reading Business Improvement District, Cream Design, Reading UK, RGSpaces Broad Street Mall and all the venues and hosts.

Open for Art is just one of many events delivered by Jelly. As recognition for our work, we were awarded The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service (The ‘MBE’). We aim to make everything we do free, accessible, and available to those restricted by social and economic reasons. Projects would not happen, nor would we reach as many people, without the support we receive. From businesses to individuals; volunteers to donations: every contribution matters. To support our work please get in touch. Email belong@jelly.org.uk, or visit jelly.org.uk/supporting-jelly
