Event description

Description

As part of Open House weekend, join GOSH Arts and award-winning architects Stanton Williams for a unique opportunity to explore the Zayed Centre for Research into Rare Disease in Children at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children which opens later this year.

The Zayed Centre for Research into Rare Disease in Children will be a world leading centre of excellence that will tackle some of the most challenging scientific questions in rare disease research. The tours will give an overview on how the building responds to the uniquely ambitious brief to bring research and treatment together in one building, focusing on a series of integrated site-specific artworks that have been commissioned for the building and how they relate to the building’s design and vision. Featured artists include Turner Prize nominee Mark Titchner and collaborative experimental contemporary art studio Random International.

The tours will be led by GOSH Arts and the architect Stanton Williams.

This event is free, but booking is essential as places are limited.
