About this event

In a time of utter despair, let’s come together and raise our voice in the name of Palestinian liberation. We want to hear a song, poem, spoken word, stand-up comedy, or anything else you feel like sharing. And if you wish to listen that’s fine too. Open to all.

About:

Bosla Arts is an arts organisation focused on sharing and supporting artists and activists from around the world, while drawing on their work to raise awareness to the public. We do this through events, workshops, an art residency and podcast.

Studio 12 is an art space that hosts. It’s rooted in transnational solidarities. It’s a place to make magic, to dance, to sing, to dream, to grieve, to shout, to breathe fire.

“We’re breathing fire
beyond a means to an end
We’re breathing fire to take up space
Hold gazes

The tracks and markings we make
The unveiled truths and tales
We are someone’s nightmare in the flesh
Breath aflame

So for the sake of liberators practice
We gather in the name of recovery and fortification
We’re breathing fire so deeply sourced from love
We must dance
In the name of all that is whole and holy.”

Excerpt from Grieve into Love by b.u.i tumelo
