Theme: Develop your skills and yourself; Preparing for employment
Are you due to go on placement or are you applying for graduate jobs? Presentation and Public speaking skills are important core competancies for employment hence this workshop will provide you with a safe space to practice and develop these skills. There will be a panel of SPLASH staff and your peers (no more than 12 people) and you will receive feedback on your presentation style and content. You can give a presentation on a subject of your choice (something of interest or a piece of coursework). You will also be able to observe other presentations and provide your own feedback, another important transferable skill. As is the case for all learning, practice is key, the more you practice, the easier it gets and the better you get so come along and 'give it a go'.
