Being Sikh and LGBTQ is challenging. Sarbat and Taraki have teamed up to create a friendly, safe space for Sikh LGBTQ people to meet and support each other. The group will take place once a month and you can attend as many or as few sessions as you need.
At our July meeting we talked about the challenges of identifying as Sikh and LGBTQ+ . People talked about how 'religious' spaces can be very judgemental and status driven. A summary of this discussion will be posted on the Sarbat website soon.
At our August meeting we want to talk about race, ethnicity and migration from a Sikh LGBTQ+ perspective.
We look forward to meeting you and hearing your story.
