Description

Open Minds – A Sikh LGBTQ Support Group

Date: Wednesday 29th May 2019
Time: 6pm – 8pm
Venue: St Luke's Community Centre, 90 Central Street, London EC1V 8AJ

Being Sikh and LGBTQ is challenging. Cultural pressure to live a married heterosexual life can make you feel that being different is wrong or something to be ashamed of. Talking to other people in similar situations can help you work out a way through these challenges.

Sarbat and Taraki have teamed up to create a friendly, safe space for Sikh LGBTQ people to meet and support each other. We plan to run the group once a month and you can attend as many or as few sessions as you need.

Our first meeting was a workshop and the details can be found on the Sarbat website.

We look forward to meeting you and hearing your story.

If you can’t make this date then our next session will be on the 26th of June 2019.
